Commercial Development Council
The Mission of the Commercial Development Council is to promote the commercial development and building industry to the public, foster the professional development and fellowship among its members through a cooperative effort, and enhance the market share of its members, resulting in a better product for the consumer. The council endeavors to improve our products and the way we do business through education and researching new building techniques.
Custom Builders Council
The Custom Builders Council is a group of experienced builders dedicated to promoting and enhancing the custom building process. The Council will foster professional development, education, cooperation and fellowship resulting in a better product for the consumer and a greater market share for its members.
Land Use Council
The mission of the Land Use Council is to protect and preserve traditional American private property rights against trends, actions or regulations that may unjustly compromise or diminish such rights without adequate compensation.
Remodelers Council
The purpose of the council is to develop, improve, and promote the skills and professionalism of HBA member companies whose primary focus is remodeling and renovation. This includes builder members in remodeling, as well as suppliers, distributors, and subcontractors.
Sales & Marketing Council
The Cape Fear New Home Sales & Marketing Council, an affiliate of the Wilmington-Cape Fear Home Builders Association, is dedicated to developing and promoting skills and professionalism in the home building industry, specifically in sales & marketing of new homes. The council provides continuing education, fosters the exchange of ideas and promotes community involvement & awareness.

Council strives to promote voluntary, market-driven green building
standards and practices to the residential and commercial development
communities in our region. The Council encourages WCFHBA members to
participate in green building by offering educational opportunities on
green building practices and providing a venue for networking and
marketing for WCFHBA Green Building Council members.

Housing Council
The WCFHBA 50+ Housing Council is to provide a forum for those interested in all aspects of active adult living, universal, and accessible design. We encourage continuous education, advocacy and networking. The Council will be the utmost source for the local building industry as industry goals apply to the aging population. The Council will also serve to empower the housing industry for promotion of optimal and safe aging in place.
